＜p＞Gabby is always giving advice, whether it is welcomed or not. She dispenses advice to her family, her friends and classmates at her Catholic School, Our Lady of Perpetual Sorrow, and on her popular myplace.com blog, titled of course, THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO GABBY. Her advice is honest, if not blunt, and sprinkled with sarcasm and humor. Gabby keeps her identity as an advice blogger a secret, only her BFF, MADDIE, knows that “Dear Gabby” is actually Gabrielle. External conflicts occur between Gabby and the many people in her life, such as: her extreme Catholic aunt and uncle, her principal, SISTER MARY ROSA, her pastor, FATHER McGUIRE, and the many friends and classmates that post questions to her advice blog. Internal conflicts of finding her first true love and following her own advice often trouble the precocious teen. A fellow classmate and “occasional hottie” is keeping his own secret.
